I am yet to find a suicide case that was not as a result of some kind of depression or the other. Save for fear of something else happening to them, people who kill themselves do so because they can’t find another way through their situation. This is the very evidence of classic depression. But the truth remains that there is hardly any situation that one can’t find a solution out of. So, never thing it’s too late for you, no matter how depressed you are.
Depression might not be much of a big deal for some, especially when you consider that every person experiences it from time to time. The problem with depression is that it might hang on to you in the most unpleasant of ways. Soon enough, you might not want to associate with a lot of people around you, or worse still, you might feel like hurting someone. That is when it really is a problem. But like I always advice – don't let it control you. Instead, YOU should control it!
It is an unfortunate fact that people who suffer extensively from depression and its symptoms are people who refuse to accept that they suffer from it. This is what allows the condition to fester and develop into any number of other things. Don’t let this happen to you. When you notice you are always unhappy and thinking of unpleasant thoughts, then it’s depression creeping up on you. Seek help fast from loved ones or your doctor.
In the United States, a lot of people experience serious depression all the time. It is known that at some point during their lives, up to 17% of the populace is bound to suffer from the condition. Although not all of them are critical, you will agree with me that the effects are such that we could do better without them. Don't join those that make up part of this statistics. Fight and win the war against depression and you will be the better for it.
Depression can vary in prevalence from 1.5 percent of the populace to as much as 19%, as respectively seen in people in Taiwan and those in Lebanon. These are readings and results gotten from people resident in these vicinities and some believe that the methods used in gathering the data may be different from location to location. Hence, the value of this information may not be irrefutable.
All over the world, people get depressed time and again – there's no racial or geographical selection. The point is that as long as people have things to get emotional about, depression will exist. This thus suggests that depression is actually a feeling, but one that should not be allowed to dwell.
Depression is a condition that messes with all of your body’s systems. Your appetite and your sleep habits are often the fist to change. Soon enough, your whole world is affected; and then you probably go visit a doctor and complain of various bodily ailments when it only “the blues.”
Depression often comes in episodes, or “crises,” if you care to call it that. You cannot afford to leave it unattended though, because a single episode of major depression may sometimes last for up to eight or nine months. Some people, although rare enough, may even suffer from it perpetually.
